SOUTH DEVON ‘UNDER 21’ COMPETITION
For the past 17 years the South Devon League has organised an annual competition for representative teams of under 21 year olds drawn from the member Leagues, who take turns in hosting the event. The competition was started as an initiative to encourage skittles amongst a younger generation of potential players.
This year’s competition was hosted by Torquay at Boots & Laces Club.
Totnes were this year’s champions beating Torquay by 398 pins to 384, mainly due to their anchor man Lee Sharland who finished with a ‘17’ spare.
The final team scores were:
Torquay 384 (top scorer Stew Bastow with ‘55’)
Totnes 398 (top scorer – Shaun Luscombe with ‘57’)
